Structure fire
Bedford Fire Department No. 1 Inc. - Bedford, PA
At approximately 7:05 a.m. Co. 31 was dispatched on the box 3105 for a reported house fire in Rainsburg Boro.  31 Chief checked on the air and was advised by communications there may be an elderly, handicapped lady in the house.  Neighbors were attempting to make entry and try to find her.  31-12, 31-21 and 31-81 all responded, under the command of 31 Chief.  Chief requested a 2nd alarm be dispatched, which brought Co. 32, Co. 37, Co. 38, and Co. 45 all to the scene.  31-12 arrived on scene first and confirmed a working fire.  Crews did a search for occupants, but...

Crews assist HFD on structure fire
West Hazleton Fire Department - West Hazleton, PA
Hazleton Police while on patrol found an abandon building on fire in the lower end of the Alter St. business district. The building consisted of three structures connected together covering almost a half of a city block. C-3 quickly updated this call to a second alarm fire upon arrival and fire showing from several windows on the side and rear of the building. All City fire apparatus was operating at the scene of the fire along with West Hazleton units. Tractor Trailer Accident
Adah Volunteer Fire Department - Adah, PA
Station 1 responded to a Vehicle Accident on Route 166 near Palmer Road. Rescue 1 arrived on scene to find a Tractor Trailer up the hillside with the driver not injured. Burnworth's Towing responded to remove the vehicle. Station 13 Edenborn and Station 26 assisted on scene. Station 49 Ronco was placed on stand by. 1 Engine also responded to the scene.

Vehicle Fire in the Boro
FREELAND FIRE DEPARTMENT - FREELAND, PA
During the NIMS Class Luzerne County dispatched the local box for a confirmed by FPD vehicle fire in the 400 block of Centre St. The engine, rescue engine, truck, and utility responded in that order all with full crews. Chief Joseph J. Stepansky arrived with an engine and passenger compartment fire with an exposed vehicle within 6 ft. and mercantile buildings within 10 ft. Route 982 MVC
Youngstown Volunteer Fire Department - Youngstown, PA
At 1445, the Rescue was sent to a two car crash with injuries on Route 982 near the Route 30 Cloverleaf.  Chief 39 was first to arrive and report one injury and negative entrapment, and update the location to be on the Route 982 bridge over the Loyalhanna Creek.  Hands assisted with patient care and packaging, hazard control, and traffic control.  One patient was transported by Mutual Aid Ambulance to an area hospital.  Also assisting were stations 113-5 (Latrobe) and 73 (Whitney-Hostetter).

Tractor fire sends units to Dorthy Patch
Lloydsville Volunteer Fire Dept and Relief Assoc. - Latrobe, PA
On September 14th units were activated for a tractor fire in the Dorthy neighborhood. Engine 114 and Chief 114 arrived on scene together and found that a lawn tractor was on fire and the homeowner had the majority of the fire knocked down with a garden hose. Crews from 114 used the homeowners garden hose and ensured the fire and brush around the tractor were out. Units were on scene for about 30 minutes. Also assisting 114 was Engine 113-2 (Latrobe #2).

Two-Vehicle MVA On Berkshire Road

For the second time in less than 36 hours, firefighters, police and ambulance personnel were sent to a notoriously dangerous section of Berkshire Road for a motor vehicle accident. During the mid afternoon Hazleton City Fire Department, West Hazleton Fire Department, and Medic 11 were working a mercantile structure fire with exposure issues in the Alter St. Business District. Hazleton City Deputy Chief with the command, Brain Mandak, committed all 4 city engines and both the truck and the tower and requested McAdoo quint and an engine from FFD to cover the city from Southside Station. Squad/Tower 53 Assist 99 on Two Alarmer
Lower Providence Fire Department - Eagleville, PA
The LPFD assisted the Black Rock Fire Company (99) at a building fire this past Saturday. Just before noon, Squad 53 was dispatched on the initial assignment for a kitchen fire on Quincy Street in Oaks. Shortly after arrival, Command requested a second alarm which also called for Tower 53. Both units and their crews assisted Black Rock with extinguishing the fire and extensive overhaul. Working Barn Fire Assist to Alsace Manor

On September 13, 2014 at 22:36 company 34 was dispatched to the 300 block of Spies Church Road to assist Alsace Manor Fire Company with a working barn fire.Tanker 34 and its crew responded to the scene and assisted with exposure protection and fire suppression efforts,and later joined the other tankers in the water shuttle operation.Engine 34 and its crew assisted rescue 8 at the Wanshop Road dry hydrant with the fill site. On Saturday September 13th  Member Alan Smith hosted the Annual Abnormal Behavior Car Truck and Bike Benefit Show for Kyle Hamrick . On May 2, 2014 Kyle Hamrick was diagnosed with stage 4 Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma.Company 42 attended the Car Show giving out Fire Prevention information as well as a Don't Text and Drive Pledge for the Community to sign. Sandy Hook Vol. Fire and Rescue - Sandy Hook, CT
Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue, Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the on-call medic were dispatched to the area of 119 Berkshire Road at 09:48 for a one vehicle accident with injuries. Tire Fire In The First Due
Pittston Township Volunteer Fire Department - Pittston Twp., PA
Engine 2, Engine 3, Rescue 1, and the chief responded to Sathers Dr. this morning for the reported smoke and fire in the area.  While units were responding comm-center advised of a possible chemical fire and to proceed with caution.  Engine 3 was first arriving to find heavy smoke and a pile of tires burning. The engine companies stretched an 1 3/4 line to extinguish the fire while the rescue crew along with engine 112 used hooks to start pulling the tires apart.  Companies operated for a little over an hour before returning to service.
