Rescue and Squad Respond to First Due HazMat Incident
Whitehall Fire Department - Fullerton Station - Whitehall, PA
Early Friday morning members were alerted to a hazmat incident on Sumner Ave along the Whitehall / Allentown Border, while responding crews were advised of a 55 gallon drum with an unknown substance in it.  Once on location crews established a safety area and waited for the Lehigh County Special Ops Team to arrive with hazmat gear.  Once station 42 crews were on location they approached the drum and tested the contents.  The inside contents was determined to be very little and non hazardous in nature, the drum was packaged and removed and units cleared the scene.

Kitchen fire in Progress
Penbrook Volunteer Fire Department - Harrisburg, PA
Tonight around 2020 hrs Engine 30 was dispatched to the 32-2 box for a reported kitchen fire. Engine 30 went responding with 4 and arrived on scene first with Chief 32-1 with nothing showing. Engine 30 crew investigated and found a kitchen fire. Engine 30 crew knocked bulk of fire down with a PW can. Engine 32-1 arrived and knocked rest of the fire down with a hand line. Engine 30 remained on scene for 45 minutes before going available.

Two Vehicle Accident
Huguenot Volunteer Fire Department Inc. - Powhatan, VA
Huguenot Volunteers responded Engine 2 and Rescue 2 to a two vehicle accident in the 1300 block of Dorset Rd shortly after 8:00PM.  One patient was flown via Virginia State Police MedFlight.  Powhatan Volunteer Fire Company assisted with Engine 1 for the landing zone.

Vehicle Accident with Haz-Mat, Route 22, Derry Twp
Crabtree Volunteer Fire Department - Crabtree, PA
This morning at 05:15 Rescue 34 assisted on the Vehicle Accident, Route 22 prior to Route 982, Derry Twp (71 District).  1st arriving units found a passenger car with severe damage with 1 injured and a tractor trailer tanker rolled over on its side with 1 injured and product leaking.  Rescue 34 arrived 3rd due, assisting with containment of diesel fuel leak from the tractor and the petroleum product leaking from the tanker portion.  The Rescue crew then assisted the County Haz-Mat Team with offloading the remaining diesel fuel and provided scene lighting...

Tanker Truck Roll Over MVA - WD40 and Motor Oil
Westmoreland County Hazardous Materials Response Team 800 - Greensburg, PA
Team 800 was called to assist New Alexandria, Crabtree, and Bradenville fire departments to provide emergency mitigation for a tractor trailer insulated tank truck carrying  3 products of SAE 5w30 (20,320#, 2911g), SAE 10w30 (11,040#, 1529g), and EP 150 (WD40) (15,920#, 2149g) that had impacted a passenger vehicle and then left the roadway rolling over directly adjacent to a retention pond designed for highway runoff.  Chief 800 spoke directly to the shipper and was told that the product was non-hazardous and non-placarded. Structure Fire with Entrapment on Stage Coach Rd at Rt 15

On 10/23/14 at 0048 hrs. Company 1 was dispatched second due to Buckingham County for a structure fire with entrapment on Stage Coach Rd. at the corner of Rt. 15 in Buckingham. Vehicle Fire
Munhall VFC #4 - Munhall, PA
At approx 1200hrs 203 Engine and 201 Engine were alerted for smoke in the area of Franklin School. Shortly after dispatch units were updated for a vehicle fire on Woodlawn Ave. 775 Chief arrived on scene to find a working engine compartment fire extending to the passenger compartment. 203 Engine arrived on scene shortly after with a crew of 5. An 1.75" hoseline was stretched and the fire was extinguished. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Motor Vehicle Accident w/ injuries
Good Will Hose Company #3 - Flemington, PA
At 1946 hrs Stations 7 (Goodwill Hose), 4 (Mill Hall (in place of Engine 7-12), Lock Haven Fire Department Rescue 6-63 (Citizens), 21 (Goodwill EMS) were dispatched to the 720 box by the Clinton County 911 Center for a motor vehicle accident with injuries and possible entrapment. Structure Fire - 10/21/14
Red Oak Community Rural Fire Department Inc. - Greenville, NC
On 10/21/2014 at approximately 3:30pm, the Red Oak Community Rural Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 1800 block of S.W. Greenville Blvd.  Upon arrival, Captain Haynes (5125) observed smoke coming from the structure and requested a third alarm (mutual aid) from the City of Greenville (Engine 5).  Firefighters were quickly able to knock down the blaze. MVA Car Overturned
Lucia Riverbend Fire Department - Mount Holly, NC
Station 31 was Dispatched reference MVA Hwy 16 @ Lucia Riverbend Hwy updated were given that it was 4 cars involved and 1 was overturned.  S319 and E311 responded on arrival they found 4 vehicle accident one vehicle overturned all patient free.  Crews secure all vehicles and assisted EMS with patient care, a total of 12 patients involved 5 would being taken to hospital by EMS.

Vehicle Accident - Rt340EB @ Washington County Line
Brunswick Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Company Inc. - Brunswick, MD
At 2353Hrs on October 20th Company 19 was alerted for a vehicle accident on Rt340EB in the area of the Washington County line. Ambulance 197(2V) and Rescue Squad 19(5V) responded on the call. Units arrived on scene to find a single vehicle on its top with the occupant still inside the vehicle. Crews went to work stabilizing the vehicle and extricating the patient. Once patient was extricated they were loaded into the ambulance for transport and remaining units cleared shortly after.

MVC PD-Traffic Control
Red Oak Community Rural Fire Department Inc. - Greenville, NC
On 10/20/2014 at 1235 hours, Red Oak Station 51 was requested to respond to a MVC PD for traffic control at the intersection of Dickinson Ave. and Allen Rd. Engine 5101 and Engine 5102 responded. Upon arrival, units checked those involved for injuries and established traffic control until all vehicles could be removed from the roadway. Once all vehicle were removed from the roadway, all Red Oak units cleared and returned to quarters.

MVC with rollover

On 10/20/2014 at 0701 hours, Red Oak Station 51 was requested to respond to a MVC rollover with ejection at Exit 73 on US 264 W. Engine 5101 responded. Upon arrival, units found a single vehicle having left the roadway, struck a concrete barrier, and overturned down an embankment. The loan occupant was ejected and had been exposed to the elements for an undetermined amount of time. Personnel assisted EMS with patient care and packaging. Reported Chimney Fire on Lawrenceburg Rd.
Northeast Nelson Fire Protection District - Bloomfield, KY
Northeast Nelson Fire and Rescue were called out to the 5000 block of Lawrenceburg Rd. to a reported Chimney Fire. Upon arrival units found a working chimney fire. Units disassembled the flue pipe and cooled the embers. Units were on scene for approximately 1 hour.

Engine-77-1 responds to Fatal MVA on New Falls Road
Wm. Penn Fire Company - Hulmeville, PA
While returning from a fire call on Roving Road at 12:42 Hours Engine-77-1 was dispatched along with Levittown#2 Fire Co to New Falls Road & Quincy Drive for a reported overturned auto with ejection and fire. Engine-77-1 arrived on scene first and reported a overturned auto with 2 victims ejected. Members provided BLS care for both victims until ALS units arrived, Both victims were transported to St Mary's Trauma Center  and reports are one victim passed away.
