110. RIT to 2nd Alarm Dwelling
Alburtis Fire Dept. - Alburtis, PA
Station 1 RIT was dispatched with Station 31 on a 2nd Alarm Dwelling Fire.  RE141 responed with a crew of 3 and requested the next due RIT bringing Station 11.  RE141 arrived on scene and was advised by command that the fire was knocked down and a full RIT set up was not required.  Station 11 RIT was canceled at this time.  The crew stood by without incident until being released by command.

Afternoon Porch Fire
Conshohocken Fire Company No. 2 - Conshohocken, PA
A little after 2:30pm, the Conshohocken Fire Department was dispatched to a possible porch fire on the 100 block of West 9th Ave. Smoke could be seen from Station 35, and police went on scene with heavy fire in rear of a residence. Upon arrival Engine 35-1 went into service with an 1 3/4" hoseline to the rear and then stretched a second hoseline to the second floor of the dwelling.  The fire was placed under control within 20 minutes.  Along with 35 and 36, Ladder and Air 24, Quint 39 and Engine 56 were dispatched to assist.  Great job to all.

Early morning work for volunteers
Upper Leacock Fire Company - Leola, PA
Volunteers went to work early this morning responding to a reported trailer fire. Arriving units found a well involved trailer containing a large load of wood shavings against a building, which resulted in the assignment being upgraded to a possible building fire. Initial crews knocked the bulk of the fire and confirmed no extension into the building. Crews remained on scene for quite some time due to an extensive overhaul process before returning to quarters. Alert 3 - Arnold Palmer Regional Airport
City of Latrobe Volunteer Fire Department, Hook and Ladder Company 2 - Latrobe, PA
Engine 2 was dispatched at 11:24 to the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport to assist Station 121 (Arnold Palmer Regional Airport Fire Department) with a reported Alert 3 (Plane Crash).  Chief 121 arrived on scene and confirmed that a single engine plane was resting on its belly in the center of run way 5.  Chief 121 also confirmed at this time that there was no fire and that all occupants where safely out of the aircraft with no injuries.  On scene units assisted with the removal of the aircraft from the runway by using airbags to avoid further damage to the aircraft.  Eng...

Arnold Palmer Regional Airport
Youngstown Volunteer Fire Department - Youngstown, PA
At 11:24 Station 39 was activated as part of an Alert 3 (Crash) alarm at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport. Chief 121 (Airport) updated the alarm reporting the plane was on the runway resting on its belly with occupants safely out of the aircraft. He requested Rescues 39 and 36 (Pleasant Unity) proceed to the airport to assist with airbags. Command requested the rescue crews lift the aircraft so it could be removed from Runway 5 without further damage. Other units assisting included 113 (Latrobe) and 33 (Marguerite).

Another Day Filled With 2nd Alarms
North Stelton Vol. Fire Co. - Piscataway, NJ
A repeat of the day prior North Stelton was involved in responding to 2 working fires within Piscataway Township.  The first one came in around 1430 hrs for a reported smoked condition on West 7th Street (Arbor Section) and quickly grew to a 2nd alarm residential fire bringing New Market, Possumtown and North Stelton to the scene.  On arrival crews found a fire in the back corner of the residence and quickly stretcher an attack line and established a supply line.  New Market's Truck went to the C side and laddered the roof for ventilation.  Possumtown then went to...

Train vs. Car (Station 3)
Lincoln County Fire Department - Stanford, KY
Three people managed to escape a car stuck on Lincoln County railroad tracks before a train smashed into it early Thursday morning. Corey Antle says he misjudged a turn and got stuck on the tracks at the Community Center Drive crossing in Moreland around 12:30 a.m. "I got confused on the road; totally forgot how the road curved. And what happened is that I came up on the other side on the tracks and got stuck. And the next thing you know, I see a train," he said. The train hit the car, taking out the crossing's signal box. MVA with Fire
West Yadkin Fire Department - Hamptonville, NC
On the evening of August 27th, West Yadkin Fire was dispatched to a reported MVA involving a single vehicle.  Secondary report from communications advised vehicle was possibly on fire.  West Yadkin units including Rescue Engine 1804 arrived to report a single vehicle fully involved.  All subjects were free of the vehicle and were treated by EMS.  West Yadkin Firefighters were able to control the fire in about 3 minutes with 1 attack line from 1804.  The vehicle had several components made of magnesium, which resulted in several small explosions as the vehicle was being...

Truck Fire on Rt 350
MOUNTAIN TOP FIRE COMPANY - Sandy Ridge, PA
We responded to a reported tractor trailer brake fire on Rt 350 near Dale Rd. Upon arriving on scene, crews found the tires burning and fire into the trailer. The truck was hauling large rolls of paper. A quick knockdown by firefighters saved extra hours of work.  Assisting at the scene was the Philipsburg Fire Dept tanker, manpower and fire police.

2 Alarm Commercial Building Fire in First Due
Rheems Fire Department - Elizabethtown, PA
At 1648 hours units from Rheems, Elizabethtown, Mount Joy and Columbia were dispatched to a reported barn fire on West Ridge Road. Deputy 70 (Kretzing) marked up with LCWC and advised of a column from 2 miles out. Chief 70 (Stanford) arrived and reported a 100 foot long commercial structure with a working fire. MUTUAL AID FOR A PIN-IN
FAIRVIEW FIRE and RESCUE ASSOCIATION INC. - Monroe, NC
Rescue 3 was dispatched to provide mutual aide rescue for a MVC with a pin-in on Hwy 218 E. just east of Love Mill Rd. with New Salem FD. Rescue 21 was also dispatched for the pin-in protocol as well. R-3 and Fairview personnel arrived on the scene and was requested to assist with the landing zone for Med Center Air. Once the helicopter loaded the patient and lifted off from the scene, Fairview was released by Command.

Accident on E. Hwy 218
New Salem Volunteer Fire Department - New Salem, NC
Call came out at  1:55pm for accident Pinned Trapped Victim   at 3770 E Hwy 218  Upon arrival  two people involved in a single car accident  one person  pinned in. Firefighters  used the " Jaw's Of Life"  to remove the victims out of the vehicle. One person was transported by helicopter and one by ambulance.  E. Motor Vehicle Accident
Glendale Hose Company #1 - Scott Twp, PA
Station 255, 256, 257 were dispatched for reported motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries. 257 rescue arrived on scene to find a minor accident vehicle side swiped a trailer. Command requested 255, 256 to stand down. Crews remained on scene to clean up minor fluid and debris. All hazards removed units returned back in to service.

Stove Fire
Glendale Hose Company #1 - Scott Twp, PA
Station 255, 256, 257, 130 were dispatched for a reported stove on fire inside of an apartment. 257 rescue responded along with 256 truck 255 engine and 130 for the RIT. 257 rescue arrived on scene to a 7 story apartment building with nothing showing. Initial report for maintenance was there was a fire he used a dry chem extinguisher and turned off power to the stove.
