I79 North in the area of the S-Bends. 245 Assistant on scene reporting 1 tractor trailer on its
side, victim self extricated denying any injuries. Truck was hauling a turkey bacon
product. 245 Rescue responded with 5 for hazard mitigation. Scene turned over to PSP.

dispatched for a Second structure fire at approximately 12:33 a.m.. The second structure was
at the Chalybeate Springs Ministries building along Chalybeate road in Bedford Twp. 31 Chief
advised communications to dispatch Co. 40, dump the remaining apparatus and standby crew in Co. 32
station and have Co.45 engine in Co. 31 station, all respond to the structure fire. 31 Chief
then directed 31-6 to respond with a crew in 31-81 and engine 32-15 from the East John street

Today at 13:29 a reported working fire with multiple calls was reported on Penn St.. Chief 41 arrive
and had fire venting from side A & B with all occupants comfirmed out. E41 crew strecthed an
attackline and went to work, Knocking down the fire in minutes. R49 laid supply line to E41. T50
staged behind E41 and threw ground ladders and set up a PPV. All other apparatus stage and
sent mampower to the front of E41. Investigaters determined it to be accidental.

Right before 17:00 Saturday afternoon, Stations 36, 27, and 45 Ambulance were dispatched to the
intersection of Fleming Rd. and Ekastown Rd. for a vehicle on fire. Engine 27 arrived first to
find a fully involved Ford Taurus with the occupants out safely. The crew from Engine 27 made
a strong attack with the trash line while Engine 36 arrived and assisted with extinguishment and

At approximately 11:30 p.m. Co. 31 was dispatched on the box 3101 for a reported structure
fire at 514 East John street in Bedford Boro. 31 Chief responded direct and was advised
by communications that they had several calls on this, stating fire was through the roof and it was
endangering other houses. Chief then upgraded the box to a full second alarm. This
alerted Co. 32, Co. 37, Co. 38 and Co. 45. 31-12, 31-50, 31-11 and 31-81 all responded from

Today shortly after 0930 hours the alarm was struck for 3511 Greensburg Road for the crash with
entrapment. Asst. 90 and the first arriving units confirmed the entrapment and severe entanglement,
Rescue Captain 102 arrived as Rescue 78 was approaching , 78 began with stabilization of the vehicle
, that was literally wrapped around the tree, before starting the lengthly extrication. All hands
operated for close to an hour from Rescue 102, 78, and Engine 236 before the patient was freed from

The Squad was asked to participate in the Community Wellness Day sponsored by River's Edge
Chiropractic.There was a great turn out of vendors and participants. A few squad members were
on the radio to help promote the event as well as plug the squad. We did a live
demonstration of CPR, narrated step by step instructions by our very own Pat Pittore. A great
time was had by all and we may have even received a few interested in membership.

Eighteen fire department recruits graduated May 6 to become Prince George’s County's newest
career firefighters.
A graduation ceremony was held at Charles Flowers High School for the 18 new firefighters who had
just completed eight classes at Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department’s training
academy.
The new firefighters are assigned to 11 stations throughout the county. They will provide additional
staffing of both fire and emergency medical service units.

At least nine people were checked for exposure to an unknown chemical Friday after a five-vehicle
pile-up on busy Lincoln Highway in Middletown. The melee occurred shortly before 6 p.m. in
front of the Philadelphia Soft Pretzel Factory when a Dodge van collided into the rear of a Hyundai,
which was carrying pesticides and a dry chemical fire extinguisher in the trunk. Eng-77-1 arrived on

over the staffing of the D.C. Fire Department. And Friday questioned its ability to provide quality
emergency medical care in the city.

to redeploy ambulances during peak hours of the day.

Today at 1753 hours the alarm sounded for 50 Stonehaven Court in Company 234s first due for the
reported house fire. First arriving police units reported smoke showing from the 2 story SFD , Chief
234 arrived and confirmed a working fire as he established Stonehaven command. Engines 234 and 78
made entry into the attic access where the bulk of the fire was , as Truck 233 assisted with hands

Falls Village Fire and Ambulance were toned out for a structure fire. Arriving units found fire and
called units from Cornwall, Lakeville and Canaan at 1:54 PM for Mutual aid. Falls Village Engine 9
tied into the hydrant to the right of the house and supplied attack lines and a portable deck gun.
Cornwall 2-0 laid a 5 inch line over 1700 feet up Miner Street and then down Bebe Hill to the dry
