Bowie house fire under investigation
PGFDFIRE - Greenbelt, MD
~~Shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, fire crews from Bowie, Upper Marlboro, and Kentland along with near by companies responded to the 16500 block of Abbey Drive in Bowie for another house fire.Units arrived on the scene with smoke showing from the top floor of a two-story house with all residents out safely.Firefighters enter the house and located a fire in a top floor bedroom; they were able to bring the fire under control within 15 minutes, with no injuries reported.The fire under investigation

No injuries at a Largo house fire
PGFDFIRE - Greenbelt, MD
Just after 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, firefighters from Ritchie, Bowie, and Kentland along with other near by departments responded to the 1100 block of Largo Road in Largo for a house fire.Units arrived on the scene with smoke and fire showing from the roof of the three-story house with all residents out safely.Firefighters located a fire in the attic area of the house and they were able to bring the fire under control within 20 minutes with no injuries reported.The cause of fire was workings removing paint from the house.

House fire in District Heights
PGFDFIRE - Greenbelt, MD
Early Wednesday, firefighters from the Third Battalion responded to the 6600 block of Kipling Parkway in District Heights fro a reported house fire.Firefighers arrived on the scene and reported a working fire in a one-story dwelling with all residents out safely.Fire crews quickly went to work to extinguish the fire on the first floor of the house; with a very aggressive attack, they were able to bring the fire under control with 15 minutes with no injuries reported.The cause of the fire was an electrical panel overloaded.

Structure fire
Bedford Fire Department No. 1 Inc. - Bedford, PA
At approximately 7:05 a.m. Co. 31 was dispatched on the box 3105 for a reported house fire in Rainsburg Boro.  31 Chief checked on the air and was advised by communications there may be an elderly, handicapped lady in the house.  Neighbors were attempting to make entry and try to find her.  31-12, 31-21 and 31-81 all responded, under the command of 31 Chief.  Chief requested a 2nd alarm be dispatched, which brought Co. 32, Co. 37, Co. 38, and Co. 45 all to the scene.  31-12 arrived on scene first and confirmed a working fire.  Crews did a search for occupants, but...

Devon Rd Fire
Paoli Fire Company - Paoli, PA
Around 7 am on Tuesday September 16th, the Paoli Fire Company was dispatched to Grubb Rd for an activated fire alarm.  Upon arrival of Tac and Deputy 3, the homeowner reported smoke in his basement.  Upon further investigation, it was determined an active fire was present in the basement.  Tac 3's crew stretched 1- 1.75" water line to the basement to locate the fire.  After some searching, crew's found fire in an office in the basement.  Engine 3-1's crew laid a supply line from the hydrant by General Wayne Elementary school to Tac 3.  An addition...

Youngstown Volunteer Fire Department - Youngstown, PA
At 17:28 the Rescue and Service were dispatched to assist station 114 (Lloydsville) with a two car crash with injuries on Route 30 at Monastery Drive. Hands from the Rescue assisted with patient care and packaging, hazard mitigation, and initial traffic control. The Service was assigned traffic control. One patient was transported by Mutual Aid Ambulance to a local hospital. Station 113-5 (Latrobe) also assisted with the call.

Motor Vehicle Accident
Glendale Hose Company #1 - Scott Twp, PA
Station 257, 256, and 255 along with Medics from station 740 were dispatched for a reported two vehicle accident with unknown injuries. 257 rescue responded. 257 rescue arrived on scene to find two vehicle minor to moderate damage everyone out of the vehicles with no injuries. Command requested the balance of the run be returned and hold the call to the rescue from 257. 257 rescue remained on scene for approx 10 minutes removing debris from the roadway scene was turned over to Scott PD and units returned back in to service.

Crews assist HFD on structure fire
West Hazleton Fire Department - West Hazleton, PA
Hazleton Police while on patrol found an abandon building on fire in the lower end of the Alter St. business district. The building consisted of three structures connected together covering almost a half of a city block. C-3 quickly updated this call to a second alarm fire upon arrival and fire showing from several windows on the side and rear of the building. All City fire apparatus was operating at the scene of the fire along with West Hazleton units. Tractor Trailer Accident
Adah Volunteer Fire Department - Adah, PA
Station 1 responded to a Vehicle Accident on Route 166 near Palmer Road. Rescue 1 arrived on scene to find a Tractor Trailer up the hillside with the driver not injured. Burnworth's Towing responded to remove the vehicle. Station 13 Edenborn and Station 26 assisted on scene. Station 49 Ronco was placed on stand by. 1 Engine also responded to the scene.

Vehicle Fire in the Boro
FREELAND FIRE DEPARTMENT - FREELAND, PA
During the NIMS Class Luzerne County dispatched the local box for a confirmed by FPD vehicle fire in the 400 block of Centre St. The engine, rescue engine, truck, and utility responded in that order all with full crews. Chief Joseph J. Stepansky arrived with an engine and passenger compartment fire with an exposed vehicle within 6 ft. and mercantile buildings within 10 ft. Route 982 MVC
Youngstown Volunteer Fire Department - Youngstown, PA
At 1445, the Rescue was sent to a two car crash with injuries on Route 982 near the Route 30 Cloverleaf.  Chief 39 was first to arrive and report one injury and negative entrapment, and update the location to be on the Route 982 bridge over the Loyalhanna Creek.  Hands assisted with patient care and packaging, hazard control, and traffic control.  One patient was transported by Mutual Aid Ambulance to an area hospital.  Also assisting were stations 113-5 (Latrobe) and 73 (Whitney-Hostetter).

Motor Vehicle Accident
Glendale Hose Company #1 - Scott Twp, PA
Station 257 was dispatched for a a reported motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries, 257 rescue responded. 257 rescue arrived on scene to find two vehicle accident head on collision moderate damage negative injuries or entrapment. Crews worked to remove fluids and debris from the roadway crews remained on scene for approx 30 minutes. All units returned back in to service.

Tractor fire sends units to Dorthy Patch
Lloydsville Volunteer Fire Dept and Relief Assoc. - Latrobe, PA
On September 14th units were activated for a tractor fire in the Dorthy neighborhood. Engine 114 and Chief 114 arrived on scene together and found that a lawn tractor was on fire and the homeowner had the majority of the fire knocked down with a garden hose. Crews from 114 used the homeowners garden hose and ensured the fire and brush around the tractor were out. Units were on scene for about 30 minutes. Also assisting 114 was Engine 113-2 (Latrobe #2).
