Structure Fire
Lorraine Volunteer Fire Company Inc. - Lorraine, NY
Lorraine Fire was dispatched at 1:34 am for a Structure Fire on the French Settlement Road in the Town of Lorraine. Trailer was fully involved on arrival. No one was home at the time of the fire. Automatic Mutual Aid was received from Adams FD and also received Mutual Aid from Mannsville FD and Lacona FD. South Jefferson Rescue Squad also stood by at the scene. Lorraine Fire responded with 2 Engines, Tanker, Rescue and 9 personnel. No injuries and Trailer was a total loss. Cause of fire is undetermined.

Assist To Company 8 Vehicle Fire
Ruscombmanor Volunteer Fire Company - FLEETWOOD, PA
On August 20 2014 Company 34 was dispatched to the 3000 block of Pricetown Road to assist Alsace Manor with a reported vehicle fire. First arriving crews from Company 8 found a working engine compartment fire in a car on the parking lot near Chatty's Restaurant. They went in service with Rescue 8's 1 3/4 foam line and had a quick knockdown. Engine 34 arrived on location and its crew assisted with overhaul.

ABANDONED STRUCTURE FIRE - MAIN ST. - JACOBS CREEK - S.H. TWP

At 00:40 Stations 107(Turkeytown), 17(Smithton), 19(Yukon), 105(Rostraver Central), 103(Collinsburg) and 82(West Newton) were activated for a possible structure fire next to 142 Main Street, in the Jacobs Creek area of South Huntingdon Twp.   As Ladder 17 went enroute, reports in to the 9-1-1 Center stated it was an abandoned structure. On Friday August 1, 2014 the Department hosted the monthly meeting of the Anne Arundel Volunteer Fire Fighter's Association. Vehicle Fire
Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department Inc. - Finleyville, PA
22:05  Stations 26,46 and 48 were dispatched to Mingo Church rd in Nottingham for a vehicle on fire with exposure to  a structure. Chief 48-2 arrived to find a vehicle well involved but no exposure issues.  Engine 26 and Rescue 26 arrived and made a quick knock down.  46 and 48 units were returned and after overhaul was complete units from 26 cleared the scene.

New colors of Fire Hydrants

Over the past several weeks, The Farmville Fire Department and the Town of Farmville have taken many calls and questions about the colors of the fire hydrant tops. The Town of Farmville broke away from the standard silver body and red top this past year from the recommendation of the National Fire Protection Agency hydrant color coding system. Squad Arrives First Due at Route 22 Vehicle Fire

Around 2330 hrs Stations 36 and 37 were dispatched for a Vehicle Fire on Route 22 East Bound at Route 145.  Squad 3611 arrives first due to a vehicle fully involved crews stretch the bumper line and booster line and make a quick knock of the fire.  Crews from station 37 assisted with gaining access to the engine compartment and overhauling the vehicle, the fire is under investigation and all units were available a little over an hours time...

Tanker To Working Mt. Hope Barn Fire
Westbrookville Volunteer Fire Company Inc. - Westbrookville, NY
At 16:42 hours Station 34 was dispatched for the Tanker to a working barn fire in the Mt. Hope Fire District near Guymard Turnpike. 34-31 and a full crew responded. The Tanker was rotated into the tanker shuttle and dropped 6 loads of water before being released by Mt. Hope Command.34-2, 34-3 and 34-31 responded. All units were back in service at 20:46hrs.

Second Alarm in the City
Keystone Hook and Ladder Company No. 1 - Myerstown, PA
This morning the truck was dispatched on the second alarm assignment for a working fire in the City of Lebanon. Shortly after the truck went responding command requested the rescue for additional manpower. The truck and rescue arrived and assisted city units with opening up and fire supression in the roof area of the main fire building.

Truck, Engine, and Utility on Structural Collapse in the Boro
FREELAND FIRE DEPARTMENT - FREELAND, PA
Crews just returned from the Aaron Leshko Tribute on the Southside when a direct call was received at station for a cracked wall in a third floor apartment at the 246 Centre St. Elderly Apartment. Chief Joseph J. Stepansky arrived and discovered a large crack along with a bulging wall and informed the firefighters to respond to scene. Initially it was determined to evacuate the front four apartments on all three floors but after discussion with the site management it was determined to evacuation the entire structure as a precaution. On Sunday 17 August at 0159 Hours, the Flemington - Raritan Rescue Squad, Raritan Township Fire Company and Hunterdon Medical Center's mobile intensive care unit EMS-1 were dispatched to Decker Corner Road in the area of Old Croton Road for a report of single vehicle motor vehicle crash with entrapment.BLS Ambulance 4952 responded almost immediately, followed minutes later by Heavy Rescue 495 and BLS Ambulance 4953.
